Summary: Arrowmark is hiring a HR Generalist/Recruiting Specialist to our amazing HR Team. The Human Resources Generalist/ Recruiting Specialist is a hands-on representative of the Human Resources and Safety department whose job is to help facilitate all Human Resource, Recruiting, and Safety functions on a professional level. This person reports directly to the Director of HR & Safety. The person in this position is expected to have excellent interpersonal skills and to promote a positive, friendly, company culture. Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the onboarding/offboarding process, including new hire orientation.
- Assists in the administration of the Company's employee benefits programs, such as health insurance, retirement plans, and wellness programs. Assists with annual benefits open enrollment and new hire benefit enrollment. Completes monthly benefit reconciliations.
- Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors including questions about payroll, benefits, and company policies and procedures.
- Ensures data confidentiality and compliance with data protection regulations.
- Handles day-to-day HR administrative tasks, such as processing paperwork, maintaining HR databases, filing, creating new forms and documents, and managing personnel files.
- Backup to the Payroll Administrator.
- Help in developing processes and procedures where necessary
- Posts openings on job boards and social media, recruits, screens and facilitates all aspects of hiring qualified applicants. Conducts and coordinates pre-employment screening.
- Utilize various platforms (job boards, social media, networking) to identify and attract potential candidates.
- Plans and attends recruiting and hiring events, networks with others in the industry and partners with managers to determine staffing needs.
- Tracks all recruiting and staffing information.
- Work closely with hiring managers to understand job requirements and provide insights on candidate profiles.
- Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates for current and future openings.
- Manages the applicant tracking system.
- Implements new HR and Recruiting technology when necessary.
- Assist with employee event planning and employee recognition.
- Admin support to the Director of HR & Safety and assists with HR projects and initiatives.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in HR, talent management, and employment law.
- Travels to complete errands, visit job sites and other company locations on occasion.
- Admin support to the Safety Team
- Contributes, supports, and promotes all Safety policies and procedures.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years' experience in an HR role
- Bachelor's Degree preferred, Associates Degree Required
- PHR Certification preferred
- Spanish Speaker Highly Preferred
- High level of experience with Microsoft Suite
- 1-2 years' experience processing payroll
- 2-5 years' experience working in a HRIS
- Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations
- Demonstrates integrity and maintains confidentiality, flexibility, sound judgment, strong intuitive skills, and is results driven
- Ability to establish priorities and accomplish multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail a must
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- AZ Driver License and Acceptable MVR
- Drug Screen and Background Check Required
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard and telephone. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work. Light to moderate lifting is required.
