This is a temporary position with responsibilities in all areas of Human Resources with an emphasis in the benefits and HRIS areas. Responsible for the research, analysis, evaluation, and administration of various employee benefit plans, such as life, health, FSA, dental, workers comp and disability insurance by performing the following duties. Responsible for HIPAA processes. Provide support to all other Human Resource/Administration activities. |
- Provide day-to-day administrative support for various employee benefits programs, including group health, flexible spending accounts, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k), COBRA, leave administration, workers comp, and wellness benefits.
- Manage benefits enrollment, changes, and terminations in HRIS systems.
- Manages our HIPAA process and conducts necessary audits of the company and is responsible for implementation of corrective actions.
- Maintains vendor contact to investigate discrepancies and provide information in non-routine situations.
- Serves as wellness program leader working with HR team to establish program.
- Responsible for leave of absence administration, tracking and legal advice, along with employee accommodation requests.
- Maintains knowledge of all applicable state and federal disability and family leave laws and regulations and ensures compliance with each.
- Provides vendors with appropriate documentation for life and disability and workers' compensation benefits claims.
- Responsible for effective EAP program.
- Conducts benefit portion for new employee orientation.
- Responsible for ACA activities.
- Subject matter expert of HRIS benefits data. Performs audits and facilitates resolutions of system errors and or data transfer issues between internal and external resources. Reconciliation of payroll to premium invoices and contribution funding files for accuracy.
- Administer and Maintain HRIS: Configure, manage, and oversee the organization's HRIS software, ensuring proper system setup, security permissions, and user access
- Technical Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and resolve system issues related to data integrity, functionality, and performance.
- Collaboration: Partner with HR and business teams to gather requirements and develop solutions that meet operational needs.
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Generate and analyze HRIS reports to provide insights that inform HR and leadership decisions.
- Compliance and Audits: Conduct regular system audits to ensure data accuracy, compliance with regulations, and internal policies.
- End-User Support: Act as a resource for managers and employees, providing technical guidance and support for HRIS-related queries.
- Assists in special department projects.

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES - Extensive experience with using and administration of ADP Workforce Now
- Knowledge of Human Resource systems; Internet software; Payroll systems; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software. Intermediate level knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite required (Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook).
- Ability to read and interpret documents, instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees.
