Summary

This position is responsible for certain Human Resources functions within Pioneers USA, focusing on employee relations, compliance, training and development, policy development, and child safety training. Working in conjunction with the Gateway Safeguarding Manager, this position has a primary role in overseeing new employee screening and onboarding requirements and on-site training pertaining to the safeguarding of children and vulnerable adults. 

 

Qualifications

  • Committed to global missions and overall vision of Pioneers
  • Must practice and support the relevant elements of the US Mobilization Base Manual
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field. PHR or SHRM-CP preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in HR roles or equivalent field leadership or field administrative support roles.
  • Passionate for the safeguarding of children and vulnerable adults.
  • Location: Hybrid, 2-3 days in Orlando office on average.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Employee Relations
    • Address employee inquiries and concerns regarding policies, procedures, and programs.
    • Assist with the general employee grievances and conflicts, various HR investigations, and US Based Child Safeguarding responses.
    •  Oversee the screening and flagging of new hires primarily for safeguarding reasons.
  2. Training and Development
    • Support the development and implementation of training programs by HR to enhance employee skills and performance.
    • Implement & refine child safety training programs for new hires as well as those in specialized roles, to ensure the protection and well-being of children and vulnerable adults within the organization.
  3. Compliance
    • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and other relevant regulations and reporting requirements.
    • Maintain accurate employee records and documentation.
  4. Policy Development
    • Assist with the development and enforcement of HR policies and procedures.
    • Communicate policy changes to employees and ensure understanding and compliance.
