Position Purpose

 The Human Resources Manager is responsible for overseeing HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, compliance, performance management, and safety to foster a positive workplace culture. 

 

Essential Duties and responsibilities

  • Recruitment and Staffing: Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract top talent, manage the hiring process, and ensure a smooth onboarding experience for new employees.  
  • Employee Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns, handle grievances, conduct investigations, and resolve conflicts to maintain a positive work environment.  
  • Performance Management: Oversee the performance appraisal process, including goal setting and performance reviews, and provide guidance to managers on performance management issues.  
  • Training and Development: Identify training needs and collaborate with the Training and Talent Manager to develop programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge, supporting career development and organizational growth.  
  • Policy Development and Compliance: Develop, implement, and enforce HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws.  
  • Compensation and Benefits: Administer compensation and benefits programs, ensuring they are competitive and aligned with organizational goals.  
  • Data Management and Reporting: Track and analyze HR metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement, and prepare reports on HR activities for senior management   
  • Safety Culture: Oversee the safety program and policy adherence to foster a safe environment. 
  • Other duties as assigned 

Job Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Management, etc.
  • Strong knowledge of labor laws and OSHA regulations
  • Conflict management experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

 

Candidates must be a “US Person” (i.e. US Citizen or Permanent Resident) to ensure Vaupell's compliance with ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations) and EAR (Export Administration Regulations) 

 

Environmental Condition 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes, airborne particles, and vibrations.
