Under the direction of the President of 5T Management, the Human Resources Manager is responsible for supporting 5T Management and its supportive living communities in all facets of Human Resources relating to the full employment life cycle. The Human Resources Manager mentors and provides their teams and the company with a clear understanding of 5TM’s guiding principles. The Human Resources Manager will assist the leadership team in positively impacting the lives of our team members, our residents, and the communities we serve. The Human Resources Manager will partner with the Executive Team to ensure the 5TM culture permeates the organization.
Essential Functions
Supporting the Company
- Be visible and participatory in local agency and industry organizations and events to build network and brand identity for 5T Management.
- Has a thorough understanding of critical factors that drive the success of the company.
- Serves as a thought partner to the 5TM leadership team.
- Analyze HR trends and metrics to develop solutions, programs and policies that will benefit 5TM.
- Provide support and guidance on Compensation/Benefits, Talent, Learning and Development and Payroll to improve projects and initiatives.
- Administers various human resources plans, procedures and platforms and assists in development and implementation of HR policies and procedures, HR systems for performance management, team member engagement, and recruitment.
- Responsible for ensuring all documentation and resolutions, coaching and counseling and progressive discipline is logged and tracked.
- Responsible for accurate and timely processing of payroll for all entities, including the accurate and compliant payment of overtime and special rates pursuant to union guidelines.

- Ensure that team members are hired with success characteristics to provide positive internal and external customer experiences.
Team Member Orientation
- Mentor and monitor teams to consistently apply 5TM’s Guiding Principles, operating policies & procedures and, in assuring accuracy and compliance in a timely manner.
- Orient and train new team members to understand the impact of their role and teach how they can create memorable experiences for our internal and external customers.
- Ensure that general and specific job orientation is provided to all newly employed staff.
- Ensure proper state, federal, and union documentation is completed and submitted in a timely and compliant manner.
Performance Management
- Supports an effective performance management system that includes the identification, documentation and resolution of performance issues; logging and tracking of appropriate coaching and progressive disciplinary actions; performance improvement plans; annual evaluations and termination policies.
- Provides day to day performance management guidance to team members (coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
- Create appropriate evaluation tools.
Team Engagement
- Assist in the development, implementation and monitoring of a system for continuously improving Team Engagement.
- Ensures there is system that encourages opportunities to enhance team engagement by regularly recognizing team members, fostering communication, promoting reasonable career paths associated with each functional area and creating a team environment that inspires trust.
- Works closely with HR consultant, leadership team, and team members to improve work relationships, build morale, increase productivity and retention.
- Assist in the effective implementation and monitoring of bonus incentive programs.
Compliance
- Provide guidance on terminations.
- Acts as the in-house expert on State & Local labor laws and changes to labor laws within our geographical region, with access to HR Consultant for complex/high level issues and resolution.
- Makes the broader team aware of changes to policy and procedure to ensure compliance.
- Maintain knowledge of federal legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Assist with management of LOA, WC, ADA and other requests.
- Maintain knowledge of union policies regarding regular and overtime pay, time off, reporting, and maintenance. Experience working with unions previously is strongly preferred.
