Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Human Resources Manager to join our team and oversee all human resources operations in our skilled nursing facility. This position plays a key role in maintaining regulatory compliance, supporting employees, and fostering a positive work environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with all HR policies, procedures, and applicable laws and regulations.

  • Manage full-cycle recruitment, onboarding, orientation, and offboarding processes.

  • Maintain accurate personnel records and ensure timely HRIS and payroll updates.

  • Administer employee benefits programs including health, dental, vision, 401(k), life insurance, and paid time off.

  • Coordinate employee training programs, performance reviews, and employee relations initiatives.

  • Provide guidance and support on employee issues, grievances, and disciplinary procedures.

  • Oversee workers' compensation, FMLA/NJFLI, COBRA processes, and unemployment claims.

  • Participate in committees including Safety, Quality Assurance, and Compliance.

  • Serve as the main point of contact for HR inquiries from staff and department heads.

  • Process and verify employee payroll, including reviewing and correcting timecards, missed punches, and related payroll documentation.

Qualifications

  • Education: Associate's or Bachelorโ€™s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.

  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a Human Resources role; experience in a nursing home or long-term care (LTC) setting preferred.

  • Certifications: HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus but not required.

  • Strong understanding of employment laws and HR best practices.

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficiency with HRIS systems, payroll platforms, and Microsoft Office Suite.
