Description

Position Summary

The Human Resources Manager will perform the daily functions of the HR department including hiring and interviewing personnel, administering leave, and enforcing company policies to support the strategic goals of the organization.  

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • None.

Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Partners with the leadership team to understand and execute the organization’s human resources and talent strategy.
  • Forecasts talent needs of the organization, including growth and succession planning.
  • Maintains confidentiality of all company and personnel information.
  • Creates learning and development plans and assists managers in identifying training needs.
  • Collaborates with departmental managers to understand the skills and competencies required for job openings.
  • Makes recommendations regarding employee discipline, terminations, and investigations.
  • Maintains compliance with all relevant employment laws and regulations, and company policy and best practices.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent acquisition and employment law.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

 



Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS and talent management systems.
  • Bilingual Spanish language ability is a plus

Education And/or Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field. 
  • Minimum of Three years of human resources management experience preferred.
  • PHR, SHRM-CP or greater certification highly desired.

 

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
