The Hayner Hoyt Corporation is looking for a passionate and experienced HR Manager who will be a trusted advisor to support company leaders and team members across the organization. This position supports day-to-day HR operations for recruiting, onboarding, benefits administration, performance management, and compliance. In this role, you will maintain the optimal function of the HRIS, which may include system customization, maintenance, troubleshooting, and guidance to end users.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provides administrative support to leadership and employees for all HR-related matters.
- Leads and manages the full-cycle of recruiting and onboarding processes.
- Provides guidance to leadership and employees on all HR-related functions, including policy development and interpretation, benefit administration, talent management, and employee relations issues.
- Oversees benefits administration, including responding to employee inquiries, coordination of open enrollment, new hire enrollment, COBRA administration, leave administration, and invoice reconciliation.
- Responsible for compliance reporting and ensuring compliance with federal and state labor laws.
- Responsible for maintaining accurate HRIS records and files, data entry, and reporting.
- Works closely and cooperatively with payroll and accounting, and ensures a high level of customer service in all communications across the workforce.
- Fosters a culture tied to the company's core values of customer satisfaction, employee support, safety, and honesty and integrity.
To be successful in this position, you'll need:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a human resources generalist with an emphasis on customer service.
- Associate's degree in Human Resources or Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related discipline, or the equivalent combination of education and experience, is highly preferred. SHRM-CP or PHR certification is highly desired.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and use discretion in all matters.
- A results-oriented demeanor who has demonstrated the ability to manage benefit programs, recruitment, and onboarding processes.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Effective presentation skills required.
- Basic knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
- Intermediate to expert computer skills using MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Adobe).
- Skill in establishing priorities, ability to work independently, and is detail-oriented.
- Knowledge of ADP Workforce Now and ADP time and attendance is highly desired.
The HR Manager does not have any direct supervisory responsibilities and will report to the VP, Human Resources. This position is full-time and office-based, working Mon - Thu 7:30 am to 5:00 pm, and Fri 7:30 am - 1:00 pm.
