About the Role

TelyRx is seeking an experienced HR Manager to own day-to-day HR operations and serve as the operational backbone of our People function. This role combines hands-on execution of core HR processes with strategic thinking, ensuring seamless employee experiences from hire to retire while building scalable systems and infrastructure. You'll manage our HRIS platform, oversee all transactional HR activities, and partner with the Director of Human Resources & Associate General Counsel on employee relations, compliance, and retention initiatives across our multi-state telehealth/pharmacy operations.

What You'll Own

Day-to-Day HR Operations 

  • Own end-to-end employee lifecycle transactions: onboarding, transfers, promotions, title changes, offboarding
  • Manage leave administration (FMLA, state leaves, accommodations, workers' compensation)
  • Oversee benefits administration, open enrollment, and employee communications
  • Coordinate with talent acquisition on employment verifications, reference checks, and background checks
  • Maintain personnel files, I-9 compliance, and document retention protocols
  • Administer performance review cycles and manage performance documentation in HRIS
  • Handle routine employee inquiries and HR service delivery
  • Coordinate with payroll on salary changes, bonuses, and compensation adjustments
  • Manage org chart updates and headcount reporting

Employee Relations & Compliance 

  • Serve as point of contact for employee relations issues, conducting investigations and recommending solutions
  • Ensure multi-state employment law compliance across all HR practices and policies
  • Partner with legal on disciplinary actions, terminations, and sensitive workplace matters
  • Coach managers through difficult conversations, performance improvement plans, and documentation
  • Manage accommodation requests and interactive process requirements
  • Conduct exit interviews and analyze turnover trends by department/location
  • Maintain employee handbook and policy updates in partnership with legal

HRIS & HR Systems Management 

  • Serve as HRIS system owner and administrator (configuration, maintenance, reporting, troubleshooting)
  • Ensure data integrity, audit compliance, and system optimization across all HR modules
  • Lead HRIS implementations, upgrades, and integrations with payroll, benefits, and other systems
  • Ability to build and maintain HR dashboards, reports, and analytics to drive data-informed decisions
  • Train employees and managers on HRIS self-service functionality
  • Manage vendor relationships and evaluate new HR technology solutions
  • Develop and document standard operating procedures for all HRIS processes

Strategic HR Support

  • Provide data-driven insights on workforce trends, turnover, and retention risks
  • Support employee engagement initiatives including eNPS survey analysis and action planning
  • Partner with recruiters to improve new hire onboarding experience and time-to-productivity
  • Support compensation analysis and total rewards communication
  • Drive culture initiatives that support leadership 
  • Identify opportunities to automate and scale HR processes

Requirements

What You Bring

Required:

5-7 years progressive HR experience with at least 3-5 years managing day-to-day HR operations

Deep HRIS expertise as system administrator (Paylocity, Workday, BambooHR, ADP, Rippling, or similar platforms strongly preferred)

Proven track record building HR infrastructure in high-growth, fast-paced environments

Strong knowledge of California, Texas, and Florida employment law and multi-state compliance requirements

Healthcare/pharma/telehealth industry experience strongly preferred

Advanced proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets for data analysis and reporting

Strong investigative and problem-solving skills with sound judgment on sensitive matters

PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SCP certification required


Preferred:

Experience in Series B+ startups navigating rapid scaling (100%+ growth)

Background implementing or migrating HRIS systems

Experience supporting companies through leadership transitions or M&A

Project management experience and process improvement methodologies

Experience coaching senior leaders on HR best practices

Compensation & Benefits

Base Salary Range: $95,000 - $115,000 

(Positioning depends on experience level)

Bonus: Eligible for Bonus plan if one is implemented by the Board
