The HR Manager/Business Partner (HRBP) role at the Braves is an important position designed to align human resources strategies with business objectives. As a consultant to management, the HRBP is responsible for providing HR guidance, fostering employee relationships, and driving HR initiatives that support the organization’s goals. This role acts as a change agent and champion of organizational culture, ensuring that HR needs are proactively anticipated and addressed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • HR Consultation: Serve as an HR consultant to managers, offering guidance on various HR-related matters.
  • Data Analysis & Strategy: Collaborate with the HR group to analyze trends and metrics, developing solutions and policies that address organizational needs.
  • Employee Relations & Conflict Resolution: Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues through thorough, objective investigations.
  • Legal Compliance: Stay informed about legal requirements related to employee management, mitigating legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Work with the legal department as needed.
  • Performance Management: Offer guidance on performance management, including coaching, counseling, career development, and handling disciplinary actions.
  • Employee Engagement: Collaborate with management and employees to improve work relationships, boost morale, and enhance productivity and retention.
  • HR Policy Guidance: Provide advice and interpretation on HR policies to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Workforce Strategy & Succession Planning: Contribute to business unit restructuring, workforce planning, and succession planning efforts.
  • Training & Development: Identify training needs for leadership and individual coaching, ensuring the success of training programs.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with the HR, Legal, Finance, and Accounting departments to serve clients and align efforts with business goals.

Qualifications:

  • Education: A Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or a related field.
  • Experience: 5-9 years of HR experience, with a preference for experience in hiring across various levels, from entry-level to management.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and Workday is preferred.
  • Relationship Building: Strong ability to build relationships with stakeholders through a focus on service and delivery.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Project Management: Demonstrated experience in managing multiple searches or initiatives with strong project management and prioritization abilities.
  • Service-Oriented: A collaborative, proactive, professional, and service excellence approach.

The HRBP will play a key role in shaping the organizational culture and ensuring that HR processes are aligned with overall business goals.
