✨Join a group of passionate advocates on our mission to improve the lives of youth!  Rite of Passage Team is hiring for a Human Resources Manager at Safe Passage in South Bend Indiana✨

 Safe Passage is a diagnostic and evaluation facility that works with youth ages 10 to 18.  A youth is referred to our program by a DCS case manager or a probation officer to seek clinical assessment. The youth stay at our locked secure facility for 30 days while our psychologist completes a full diagnostic and assessment of the youth. Safe Passage's psychologist will update diagnosis, treatment plans, and future placement options. Youth will leave Safe Passage in the next 30 days after their assessment is completed going on to one of three places: back home with social services in place, to a foster care or group home, or to a residential facility to work on a youth's recommendations. 

Pay: $55k - $65k Depending on Education and Experience

What you will do: The Human Resources Manager is primarily responsible for the oversight of all Human Resources functions for the site to ensure that the Human Resources goals and objectives are met. The Human Resources Manager reports to the site Program Director and their Regional Human Resources Director. 

To be considered you should:

  • Have A Bachelor’s degree in HR, business or related field and two years of Human Resources experience; or six years of equivalent experience as a Human Resources Generalist may be substituted. Master’s degree, certification and/or PHR are preferred.
  • Minimum of two years of human resources experience in employee relations, training and/or employment.
  • Knowledge of Federal and State employment law, Human Resources policies and practices and governmental licensing requirements.
  • Successful management experience required.
  • Good interpersonal skills including the ability to interview potential employees if required.
  • Be able to pass a criminal background check, child abuse registry, drug screen, physical, and TB test.

Schedule: Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm
