HR Leader

As the first dedicated HR/Recruiting professional, you’ll wear many hats: driving full-cycle recruiting, designing performance systems, and ensuring compliance while building scalable people practices. This is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-changing environment and loves the balance of hands-on execution and long-term planning.


What You’ll Do:

Hiring & Recruiting

  • Own end-to-end recruiting: sourcing, interviewing, and keeping the candidate experience seamless
  • Partner with hiring managers on compelling job descriptions and structured interview plans
  • Build scalable hiring processes to keep quality high and the experience human
  • Track and analyze hiring metrics to continually improve


Performance & Growth

  • Lead a fair, simple performance review process that supports growth
  • Help create leveling frameworks and growth paths for team members
  • Coach managers on having constructive performance conversations


People Operations

  • Manage onboarding/offboarding to ensure smooth transitions
  • Maintain HR systems and employee records (clarity and organization are your superpowers)
  • Collaborate with finance on payroll, benefits, and time-off tracking
  • Find efficiencies and elevate processes as the team grows


Policies & Compliance

  • Keep handbooks and policies up to date and compliant across multiple states
  • Stay ahead of employment laws and handle employee relations with professionalism


What We’re Looking For:

  • 5+ years in HR/People Ops (bonus if you’ve scaled startups or worked in CPG)
  • Confident leading recruiting and HR processes in a fast-moving environment
  • Empathetic, organized, and comfortable working independently
  • Familiarity with tools like Rippling, Asana, or similar (or quick to learn)
  • Energized by ambiguity and passionate about building systems that scale
