The Human Resources Manager, Shared Services is responsible for leading and optimizing HR Shared Services operations to deliver consistent, efficient, and high-quality HR support across the organization. This role oversees transactional HR functions, employee support, compliance administration, onboarding, and HR operations while partnering closely with HR Business Partners and other internal stakeholders.
This position requires a proactive, energetic, and reliable leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate has experience managing a team of 5+ employees and supporting HR operations within a mid-sized organization (500–800+ employees preferred). As this role oversees employee onboarding and is often the first point of contact for new hires, strong presentation skills and polished communication abilities are essential.
Workday experience is preferred. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required.
Lead and manage the HR Shared Services team (5+ team members), including workload prioritization, performance management, coaching, and development
Ensure timely, accurate, and consistent delivery of HR services across all employee lifecycle processes
Establish and monitor service-level agreements (SLAs), workflows, and case management standards
Foster a proactive, solution-oriented team culture focused on continuous improvement and service excellence
Oversee employee and manager inquiry resolution through ticketing or case management systems
Ensure accurate processing of employee transactions (new hires, job changes, transfers, terminations) in partnership with Payroll and Benefits
Lead and enhance the employee onboarding experience, serving as a key representative of the organization and ensuring a strong first impression
Oversee offboarding administration
Ensure data integrity, reporting accuracy, and governance within HRIS systems (Workday preferred)
Ensure HR Shared Services processes comply with federal, state, and local employment laws
Oversee personnel file management, I-9 compliance, and document retention
Support internal and external audits and compliance reviews
Partner with HRBPs and Legal on escalated or complex compliance matters
Support benefits administration
Oversee effective administration of leave of absence programs
Support annual programs such as open enrollment, merit cycles, and policy rollouts
Identify and implement opportunities to streamline HR processes through automation and standardization
Develop and maintain SOPs, knowledge articles, and training materials
Track, analyze, and report HR operational metrics and trends to HR leadership
Leverage advanced Excel skills for reporting, data analysis, and dashboard creation
