Overview:

The HR Specialist is responsible for managing pre-employment processes, supporting data analytics and reporting for the executive team, overseeing credentialing activities, providing front desk coverage as needed, and conducting and supporting audits. This role ensures compliance, operational efficiency, and a positive candidate and employee experience.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
  • 2+ years of HR experience, preferably in compliance or credentialing.
  • Strong analytical and data reporting skills (Excel, HRIS systems, presentation tools).
  • High attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Experience with audits and compliance processes preferred.

 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Pre-Employment & Onboarding

  • Coordinate and manage all pre-employment processes (background checks, drug screenings, employment verification, references).
  • Ensure new hire documentation is completed accurately and in compliance with company policies and regulations.
  • Facilitate onboarding processes and maintain onboarding records.
  • Communicate with candidates regarding employment requirements and onboarding steps.

2. Data Analytics & Executive Reporting

  • Develop and maintain HR data dashboards and analytical reports for the executive team.
  • Analyze workforce metrics (turnover, hiring trends, compliance status, credentialing data, etc.).
  • Prepare professional data decks and presentations for leadership meetings.
  • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality.

3. Credentialing

  • Manage employee credentialing and re-credentialing processes.
  • Track expiration dates for licenses, certifications, and required documentation.
  • Maintain accurate credentialing files and databases.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and organizational requirements.

4. Front Desk Coverage

  • Provide professional front desk support when needed.
  • Greet visitors, candidates, and employees in a courteous manner.
  • Direct inquiries appropriately and maintain a welcoming environment.

5. Audits & Compliance Support

  • Conduct internal audits of HR files, credentialing records, and employment documentation.
  • Support external audits by preparing and organizing required documentation.
  • Identify compliance gaps and recommend corrective actions.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of HR regulations and compliance requirements.

The salary range represents the low and high end of the salary someone in this role may earn as an employee of Help Group. Salaries will vary based on various factors, including but not limited to, professional and academic experience, certification, training, responsibilities of the position, and other business and organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of our total compensation package for employees.
