The Role
The HR Specialist plays a key role in supporting and enhancing the daily operations of the Human Resources department. This position delivers expert-level assistance across multiple HR functions, including compliance, HRIS data integrity, onboarding, employee records management, and policy administration. The HR Specialist ensures HR practices are efficient, legally compliant, and aligned with Resident Interface’s core values.
What You’ll Do
- Coordinate recruitment efforts for U.S. office including job postings, resume screening, and phone interviews.
- Consult with managers to assess and meet hiring needs.
- Inform applicants of job duties, working conditions, benefits, and company culture.
- Maintain employment records in both electronic and hard copy formats.
- Monitor employee attendance records and administer corrective action for attendance-related violations in alignment with company policy.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for HR-related questions from staff and managers.
- Ensure data accuracy in HRIS and payroll systems including payroll state tax registration.
- Assist with payroll processing by verifying timely review and approval of employee timecards.
- Administer monthly and quarterly bonus worksheets for payroll processing.
- Manage onboarding and offboarding processes, including orientation, background checks, new hire benefits, exit interviews, and access provisioning.
- Assist with benefits renewal and annual open enrollment.
- Assist in drafting, updating, and communicating HR policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal employment laws.
- Support audits and prepare required documentation for compliance reviews.
- Maintain organized and confidential employee files in compliance with legal requirements.
- Partner with internal teams to support employee communications and engagement programs.
- Coordinate and distribute employee birthday and anniversary cards to support recognition and engagement initiatives.
- Generate HR metrics and reports related to headcount, turnover, and compliance.
- Support internal HR initiatives and employee engagement events.
Qualifications

They excel in maintaining professionalism and confidentiality while managing sensitive employee information and navigating complex HR issues. Exceptional organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential, as HR Specialists often juggle multiple responsibilities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. They must be comfortable with change, able to multitask effectively, and skilled in conflict resolution to address employee concerns and foster a positive workplace culture.
Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- 2+ years of HR experience, preferably in a corporate or multi-site environment

- In-depth understanding of labor laws and HR compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in HR systems such as ADP, Rippling, or similar platforms.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize responsibilities, and work independently.
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.

Standard schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M.
