We are looking for a HR Specialist – Leave Administration to join our team! The HR Specialist – Leave Administration is responsible for administering and coordinating all employee leave and accommodation programs in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. This role serves as the primary point of contact and subject matter expert for leave-related matters, including FMLA, Washington Paid Family & Medical Leave, ADA accommodations, Pregnancy Workers Fairness Act requirements, workers’ compensation, and short- and long-term disability plans.
The Specialist partners closely with employees, managers, and HR leadership to manage the full leave lifecycle—from initial request and eligibility determination through documentation, communication, and return-to-work coordination. This position ensures accurate recordkeeping, maintains strict confidentiality of medical information, supports policy development to ensure ongoing compliance, and provides guidance on the interaction between leave laws and paid time off or disability benefits. The role also contributes to general HR operations and support as capacity allows.
