Understand agency policies and procedures and support staff by performing customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions.
Oversee the recruitment and interview process including job posting, interview scheduling, and file preparation.
Assist managers in screening applications as they are received, communicating about qualified candidates when applicable.
Complete all pre-hire paperwork with new employees, including background screening, reference checks, and all DOT-required paperwork for new drivers.
Manage the new employee onboarding process from scheduling interviews to completing hiring in ADP Workforce Now and guiding new hires through the first two weeks.
Lead new employee orientation, cover company policies, book departmental introductions, and schedule role-specific training. Coordinate with managers to ensure all training needs for new employees are met.
Create and maintain accurate and complete employee files.
Collaborate with department Managers and Directors to create and implement training plans that meet grant requirements.
Manage the Absorb Learning Management System to assign and track required training, and follow through with staff to ensure timely renewal of expired certifications and update courses as directed
Submit monthly/quarterly reports as requested by HR Senior Manager
Manage Pingboard org chart and update as necessary
Conduct payroll preparation in a timely manner including timecard verification and communication with staff
Ensure timely completion of benefits enrollment for new hires
Maintain HR filing system
Provide administrative support to the department as requested
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or experience in related fields preferred
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to think both creatively and strategically.
Responds well under pressure with strict time limit.
