HR Specialist Scheduling & Logistics
The HR Specialist, Scheduling & Logistics is a core member of the Purgatory Resort HR team who actively shapes the resort's workforce, not simply supporting it. This role sits at the intersection of employee scheduling, recruitment and onboarding, employee relations, and HR administration. Responsibilities shift in emphasis throughout the operational calendar, requiring someone equally comfortable managing complex multi-departmental schedules during peak season as supporting hiring pipelines and onboarding new team members in the off-season. Working cross-departmentally across all resort areas ("trails"), this specialist ensures we have the right people in place at the right time and that they're set up for success from day one.
This is a Full-Time, Year-Round (FTYR) benefited position. Benefits include a free season pass for you and your dependents. For the full list, visit purgatory.ski/employee-benefits. This position will remain open until filled.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Scheduling & Logistics

• Monitor staffing levels, report on scheduling KPIs, and make proactive recommendations to Department Managers.
• Serve as the primary communication portal for open shifts, rotations, staffing levels, and operational changes.
• Record and analyze team member attendance; alert managers to attendance policy violations.
• Set up and adjust Paycom scheduling templates as operational needs evolve.
Recruitment & Onboarding

• Manage job postings, application tracking, and candidate communications through Paycom.
• Coordinate the onboarding process for new team members, ensuring a consistent experience from offer to first day.
• Anticipate seasonal staffing surges and proactively build hiring pipelines ahead of peak periods.
HR Administration & Employee Relations
• Support day-to-day HR office operations: data entry, reporting, employee records management, and employment status changes in Paycom.
• Act as a first point of contact for employee concerns; assist in resolving disputes and clarifying workplace policies.
• Escalate employee relations matters to HR leadership as appropriate and contribute to ongoing HR projects and initiatives.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively across departments and position levels.
• Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage dynamic, shifting priorities.
• Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and comfortable moving between strategic and administrative work.

Education & Experience:
• Direct HRIS/scheduling software experience required; strong Paycom proficiency (Scheduler and Time & Attendance modules) highly preferred.
• Background or formal education in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
• Proven ability to analyze data, track KPIs, and make informed recommendations.
• Must successfully pass a pre-employment background check.
Preferred
• 2+ years in employee scheduling, workforce planning, recruitment, or a similar HR role in a multi-departmental environment.
• Experience in a seasonal, hospitality, or resort setting.
Work days are dynamic, moving between indoor and outdoor environments across Purgatory's trail systems. Standing or sitting for extended periods and occasional lifting under 50 lbs may be required. A daily lunch break is provided and employees are encouraged to ski or ride.
