Human Resources Business Partner-Regional Model

Position Summary:
As a Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP), you will play a pivotal role in aligning HR initiatives and functions with business objectives and needs in your designated region. The HRBP will work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention. This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of the company’s goals, who can provide HR expertise in employee relations, performance management, and organizational development.

Position Responsibilities:

Administrative and Strategic HR Partnership:

  • Provides administrative support to the human resource function as needed, including record-keeping, file maintenance and HRIS entry.
  • Coordinate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs 
  • Completes Forms I-9, verifies I-9 documentation and maintains I-9 files. 
  • Submits and assists with new-employee background checks. 
  • Source potential candidates through online channels (e.g. social platforms and professional networks) 
  • Plan interview and selection procedures, including screening calls, assessments and in-person interviews 
  • Assess candidate information, including resumes and contact details, using our Applicant Tracking System 
  • Collaborate with business leaders, regionally, to understand their goals and provide strategic HR support to achieve them.
  • Act as a trusted advisor on all HR-related matters, offering guidance on workforce planning, succession planning, and organizational development.
  • Lead HR initiatives that align with the company’s business objectives, including talent acquisition, employee engagement, and change management.

Employee Relations:

  • Regional HR ambassador ensuring all touchpoints in the employee lifecycle from onboarding to offboarding are handled with care and competencies that reinforce culture.
  • Receive and document employee concerns, gather relevant information, and support resolution efforts through fact-finding and basic problem-solving techniques.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to managers on handling employee issues, improving communication, and managing performance.
  • Support performance management programs that ensure employees receive constructive feedback, development opportunities, and career growth.

Organizational Development:

  • Assess organizational needs and develop strategies to improve work processes, employee engagement, and company culture.
  • Lead change management initiatives that support the company’s strategic goals and minimize disruption to the workforce.
  • Champion, influence and change agent for a culture of belonging workplace.

Compliance and Reporting:

  • Ensure all HR activities comply with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
  • Prepare and present HR metrics and reports to management to support data-driven decision-making.

Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience as an HR Business Partner or in a similar HR role.
  • Strong knowledge of HR principles, practices, and employment laws.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Proven ability to influence and drive change in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with HRIS and talent management systems.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • HR Certification (e.g., PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP) is highly desirable.
