HRIS Analyst / HR Generalist Job Description

The HRIS Analyst / HR Generalist is responsible for managing and maintaining the HR systems and data that support the HR function by providing data analysis and reporting, system upgrades and maintenance, and support for end-users. In addition, this role will perform basic HR generalist activities.

Description:

A HRIS Analyst / Generalist is responsible for managing and maintaining HRIS systems and analyzing HR data, generating HR reports, records management, supporting the team with recruiting, benefits and wellness administration, and providing support for all HR compliance activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain HRIS systems and databases
  • Create and generate HR reports and metrics
  • Participate in system integration projects and upgrades
  • Assist with the administration of employee benefits, which may include collecting and submitting employee information and notice of change in status to health, dental, life, disability, and other insurance carriers or insurance brokers.ย 
  • Review applications for entry-level and non-exempt positions; conducts and/or schedule preliminary interviews.
  • Perform administrative and record-keeping tasks related to personnel changes, which may include performance improvement plans, extended leaves of absence and terminations.
  • Plan and support company-wide information meetings such as new hire orientation, open enrollment, and meetings to announce or discuss changes in retirement or benefits plans and roll out wellness initiatives.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Information Technology or related field
  • Minimum of 2 years of HRIS experience with 2 years of HR Generalist experience
  • ADP WFN proficiency in all modules to include Recruitment, Employment Profile, Performance, Benefits and Time and Attendance.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient with MS Office, primarily Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Ability to use VLOOKUP & being able to create Pivot Tables is required

Working Conditions:

This is typically an office-based job that operates during regular business hours. Some evening and weekend work may be required when deploying new systems or upgrades.

Physical Requirements:

This job may require sitting or standing for extended periods and working on a computer for long periods of time.
