Description

Under the general supervision of the Command Human Resources Assistant Director the HRIS Specialist/HR Generalist provides support with maintaining the ongoing administration of HRIS, and related systems to support short and long-range HR goals; assists in maintaining standard reporting measures, quantitative explanation of relevant data, and ongoing analysis of alternatives and solutions; serves as liaison for HRIS matters including implementation, training, troubleshooting and auditing within the Division; provides training for ARC users on HRIS system
Supports the Human Resource Department in technical point-of-contact capacity for assigned functional areas including daily recruitment and compensation administration as well as performance management; recruits, evaluates, and recommends candidates for open positions; serves as backup to I-9s and background checks. Plans and facilitates the annual and 90-day performance management process and the annual pay increase process; prepares data and reports for the annual EEO-1 reporting process. Aids with benefit administration to ensure accurate leave balances are maintained.



Qualifications

Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Business Administration, Human Resources, Human Resources Information Systems, or a closely related field
and
five (5) years job-related work experience administering an HRIS system, and performing a variety of human resource functions, or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
