Chick-fil-A Freehold Township is seeking a mature, detail-oriented Human Resources Assistant to join our team. This entry-level position is ideal for someone eager to grow in human resources or business operations. You’ll work closely with leadership to manage recruiting, payroll, compliance, and team member support in a dynamic restaurant environment.
· Recruiting & Hiring
• Post job openings and screen applicants
• Schedule and conduct interviews
• Assist in hiring and onboarding new team members
• Manage uniform inventory and distribution
· Payroll & HR Admin
• Process bi-weekly payroll
• Maintain accurate personnel files
• Track FMLA, NJLA, Workers' Comp documentation
• Monitor evaluation schedules and send reminders
• Answer employee questions related to benefits, pay, or policies
· Compliance & Support
• Assist with disciplinary documentation and coaching support
• Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with NJ labor laws
• Help foster a positive, professional workplace
• Associate’s degree required, or equivalent college coursework in business, human resources, or a related field
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Mature mindset with ability to maintain discretion
• Basic HR or payroll experience a plus (but not required)
• Tech-savvy and comfortable learning new systems
• Enthusiastic about supporting young team members in a fast-paced setting
