Northeast Florida Health Services, Inc., a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), is seeking a full-time Human Resources (HR) Assistant for our DeLand location to provide administrative support for various HR functions in our community health centers.

Responsibilities:

· Assist with recruitment processes, including job postings, candidate communications, interview scheduling, and background checks.

· Schedule and coordinate onboarding assignments and training sessions.

· Support onboarding of new hires, including document preparation, orientation coordination, and enrollment assistance.

· Maintain and compile employee files and HR databases with up-to-date information.

· Support HR department reporting and recordkeeping.

· Respond to internal and external HR-related inquiries or requests and redirect as necessary in a timely manner.

· Prepare and distribute HR-related correspondence, forms, and reports as needed.

· Assist in processing personnel action forms, employment verifications, unemployment claims.

· Perform other duties as assigned to support HR department.


Education/Experience:

· High school diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.

· Administrative experience in HR or healthcare setting preferred.

· Knowledge of Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) and Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) required.

1. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

2. Strong attention to detail

3. Proficiency in administrative duties such as communications, data entry, and record keeping

4. Enthusiasm for working within team environment

5. Tact and professionalism handling confidential information and addressing employee concerns

6. Proficiency with technology and the ability to pick up new software easily


Environmental/Working Conditions:

Physical Factors:

· Lifting: Up to 20 pounds occasionally (e.g. supplies, files, office materials)

· Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer

· Frequent use of hands for data entry, filing, and operating office equipment

· Occasional walking, standing, bending, and reaching

· Normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare, and communicate appropriate reports

· Driving: as necessary depending on business need
