$23-$24/hour with a $1500 sign-on bonus ($500 at 90 days, $500 at 6 months, $500 at 1 year)

NorthEast Residential Services is seeking a Human Resources Assistant to join our team. This role is responsible for full cycle recruiting and on-boarding, at our office located in Gray, Maine. The ideal candidate should be organized and possess strong customer services skills with an emphasis on delivering an exceptional candidate and on-boarding experience. This role will support the HR and Training departments.

 

Human Resources Assistant Responsibilities Include:

  • First contact for all walk-ins and phone calls. Greeting applicants and employees here for training.
  • Review and maintain applicant tracking and waitlist in our HRIS system.
  • Answer website inquiries and campaign emails.
  • Conduct interviews and match applicants with open schedules.
  • Manage on-boarding processes, send offer letters, gather paperwork, stay in contact until day one of training.
  • Document and certification management in HRIS system and paper files.
  • Employment verifications.
  • Process mail office mail.
  • Position management and posting jobs as needed.
  • Social media back up.
  • Process background checks for all new hires and every two years after start date.
  • Enter new hires into Maine Employment portal.
  • Everify processing for all new employees per Federal guidelines.
  • Other HR duties as assigned.
  • Other Training admin support duties as assigned.

Essential Job Requirements:

  • High School Diploma.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in an office environment.
  • Experience in conducting interviews is preferred.
  • Demonstrated customer service experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Microsoft Office applications; Word, Excel, Outlook
  • SHRM or HRCI certification is preferred but not required.
  • Must pass criminal, APS, and CPS background checks
