The Human Resources Assistant is responsible for providing support to the Human Resources Teams. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supports HR Leadership with day-to-day responsibilities as needed
  • Owns time adjustment and time off request processes for SC Team
  • Partners in onboarding and offboarding activities for local and remote team members
  • Enters new team members into the HR information system (HRIS) and maintains up-to-date employment information 
  • Keeps accurate records of personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, and terminations
  • Maintains HR files including but not limited to personnel files
  • Assists with the coordination of new hire Orientation, including communications and materials preparation
  • Supports Wellbeing initiatives virtually and onsite, including Wellness credits administration
  • Performs weekly and ad hoc reporting in support of internal departments and initiatives
  • Collects and maintains Hep B vaccination information for team members as required by OSHA
  • Assists with the equipment return process for separating team members 
  • Serves as first point of contact for team members with general HR questions
  • Triages team member questions from multiple email and fax inboxes 
  • Provides support to other HR Departments/areas when needed (Benefits, Recruiting, Training, etc.)
  • Handles sensitive information and maintains confidentiality

Successful Candidates Must Possess:

  • High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources preferred
  • With a Bachelor’s degree, no experience required; with a high school diploma/GED, a minimum of two (2) years of administrative support experience required
  • Strong computer skills required (Microsoft Office Suite, ADP preferred)
  • Must possess strong communication skills; professional communicator
  • SharePoint proficiency preferred
  • Prioritizing ability in a dynamic environment
  • Strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills required
  • Ability to quickly build productive working relationships and interact with staff at all levels
  • Ability to work independently and in a teaming, highly collaborative environment
