Position Summary

The Human Resources Assistant is responsible for HR support and daily administrative duties. These include, but aren’t limited to: Employee activities, maintain employee files and other HR compliance, assisting with recruiting and onboarding, employee benefits, general employee relations support, and administrative tasks.

 

Essential Job Functions and Accountabilities

  • Assist with the recruiting and onboarding process, including working with temporary agencies, background and pre-employment screenings, conducting orientation, and maintaining employee records in compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.
  • Assist with scheduling trainings, meetings, and organizing employee activities, etc.
  • Provide support for employee questions, open enrollment, and other HR initiatives.
  • Maintains office cleanliness by tidying up the office area, making sure coffee and printing areas are kept clean and stocked, and cleaning out the fridge on a weekly basis.
  • Assists employees on resetting their Employee Self Service portal and helping employees to navigate through the app to find what’s needed.
  • Assists with special projects and HR initiatives by coordinating with the Social Committee and participating in organizing employee activities.
  • Partner with other HR team members to assist in corporate wide programs and implementations.
  • Assist with payroll processing for manufacturing site including backup support of time and attendance program and investigating pay issues.
  • Maintains the badge creation system for new hires, and troubleshoots badges when employees are experiencing issues.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Has helpful, professional, courteous interpersonal skills and attitude with genuine concern for resolving issues.
  • Excellent computer skills required, including ability to learn new programs.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to change
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Bi-lingual (English and Spanish) is preferred.

 

Education & Experience:

  • 1-2 years of work experience is preferred.
