We are currently hiring for full time Human Resources Assistant who can begin working on May 4, 2026. The ideal candidate will be able to assist with the daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) department including recruiting, onboarding, offboarding, research, employee relations, payroll, and implementing company policies and practices.
Responsibilities include
- Performs administrative work, including but not limited to scheduling, maintaining files, handling the mail for the department, creating and distributing reports and spreadsheets, preparing packets, making appointments, and answering phone calls.
- Submits employment data into computer database.
- Creates weekly and monthly staffing reports.
- Assists with employee recognition programs.
- Serves as point of contact for HRIS assistance.
- Assists applicants, employees, and supervisors with employment-related inquiries.
- Maintains compliance with Federal, State, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices.
- Maintains confidentiality and respect for residents and employee privacy.
- Creates an environment of pride and quality among all employees, encouraging them to achieve their highest potential.
- Champions the mission, vision, and CV CARES core values of the community with all employees, residents, families, and guests.
- Adheres to all Covenant Village policies and procedures.
- Performs other duties as assigned by management in a cooperative manner.
- Completes all assigned training by the deadline.
QualificationsQualifications include
- High School diploma/GED required. Certification in Human Resources or at least one year of human resources or clerical experience preferred.
- Excellent communication, resident relations, organizational skills, customer service orientation, and leadership ability.
- Ability to work independently with initiative and as a collaborative and supportive member of a team.
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Warm and personable image, demonstrating the ability to connect effectively with the senior population across diverse functional abilities. Patience and empathy are essential.
- Adaptable, flexible and focused on meeting the needs of residents.
- Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail and possess creativity in problem solving and task execution.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately, maintain high standards of work quality even under pressure, and collaborate effectively with colleagues.
- Adaptability to learn and utilize new software and technologies as needed.
- Time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines; strong analytical and problem solving skills; the ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
- The following are preferred but not required:
- Payroll experience
- Some knowledge of employment related laws and regulations proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Physical Requirements include prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer, walking long distances, ability to lift 35 pounds at times, balance, climb, crouch, pull, push, reach, stand and stoop, adequate dexterity in hands to grasp and manipulate small objects.
Individuals will be exposed to inside and outside conditions and may be exposed to Bloodborne Pathogens. However, proper training and protective devices will be provided.
