Premium Waters, Inc. was founded in1994 when Cy Chesterman of The Chesterman Company ventured into the bottled water business by purchasing a bottled water plant in Willmar, Minnesota. What you’ll be working on

The Human Resources Assistant will report to the Human Resources Manager and be responsible for a number of different personnel related administrative tasks and providing clerical support to the HR department and employees regarding human resources related activities, policies, processes, and procedures. 

Essential Job Duties:

  • Provide high-level customer service regarding employee-related matters. 
  • Process bi-weekly payroll, including approval of timecards, employee reimbursements, and new hire/termination reporting.
  • Assist with the temporary labor provider for the plant/office. 
  • Support the organization on employee development to include training, development plans, and career pathing. 
  • Assist with timely communication within the organization regarding organizational changes and other important topics. 
  • Assist with projects related to process improvement. 
  • Recruiting operators, forklift drivers, and other non-management positions. 
  • Performance management and improvement tracking systems support. 
  • Employee orientation, development, and training support. 
  • Assist with communication between the company and employees
  • Compensation and benefits administration and recordkeeping.
  • Run and distribute monthly reports for attendance, training, and safety checks.
  • Employee safety, welfare, wellness, and health reporting support.
  • HR filing system.

Non-Essential Job Duties:

  • Will perform other related work as assigned. 
  • In the absence of this employee, the direct manager or appointee will cover responsibilities.

Preferred requirements for this role:

  • Associate’s degree in Business or Human Resources or equivalent experience
  • 1-3 years of Human Resources experience; generalist experience desired 
  • Exposure to some or all of the main HR disciplines including talent acquisition, performance management, organizational development, compensation, benefits, HRIS, and employee relations 
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred 
  • Basic business acumen 
  • Ability to build strong relationships with internal customers 
  • Knowledge and understanding of Federal, State and Local legislation regarding employment and labor laws 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment 
  • Ability to handle highly sensitive information 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
