Work Environment: 90% in Office

About Us:

The Multi-Agency Alliance for Children is a non-profit organization committed to creating positive outcomes for vulnerable youth and families. Our mission is to coordinate resources, information, and a network of quality providers. We are currently seeking a Human Resources Assistant, who will play a pivotal role in providing administrative support to the Director of Human Resources while supporting the full employee life cycle of the agency’s growing workforce.

Job Purpose:

The Human Resources Assistant is responsible for supporting the Director of Human Resources with the administrative and HR functions of recruitment, risk management, policy development and enforcement, training, and professional development. Maintain up-to-date records to ensure all required documents are collected and filed appropriately. Facilitating new staff orientation and agency-wide training as needed while supporting the contract development of new/returning contractors. This role is crucial in supporting the agency’s strength-based culture, while providing a safe, productive, and motivated workforce as we align the HR department strategies with the agency’s mission.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately maintain personnel files, records and documentation while maintaining integrity and confidentiality of information received.
  • Answer frequently asked questions related to agency policies, hiring process, benefits, etc.
  • Organize and coordinate meetings including but not limited to interviews (internal/external), professional development committee, agency-wide training, etc.
  • Performs clerical and administrative tasks including updating job descriptions, drafting policies, HR-related correspondence, HR reports, periodic audits of HR records, training logs, data entry, and other documents for the Human Resources department.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned including special projects and other related duties.


Qualifications

Qualifications:

Essential:

  • High school Diploma required, Bachelor’s degree required in Human Resources or Business Administration (preferred), or related field, or 3-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail.
  • Strong time management skills to meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 Suite, or similar software with ability to learn new or updated software.
  • Strong strategic, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.

Preferred:

  • Experience in HR management, including recruitment & selection, onboarding & offboarding, and training & development.
  • Familiarity with human resource information systems (HRIS), Paycom and web-based data systems (e.g., Salesforce).
  • Knowledge of the Georgia Child Welfare and Mental Health System and/or non-profits.

Work Environment:

This role is based in Downtown Atlanta. The position requires an in-office presence Monday through Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm to effectively support the team and engage with both internal and external stakeholders.
