We are seeking a Human Resources Assistant to support day-to-day HR operations, including employee lifecycle processes, onboarding support, and administrative coordination. This role will assist with maintaining HR documentation, supporting compliance activities, and providing guidance to employees and managers on established HR processes and policies.

This is an onsite role supporting training and onboarding activities for new hires.

Key Responsibilities

HR Operations & Employee Lifecycle

  • Assist with execution of HR programs, procedures, and policies
  • Process employee lifecycle transactions (onboarding, changes, offboarding)
  • Ensure completion and accuracy of HR documentation and paperwork
  • Maintain employee records in accordance with company procedures

Onboarding & Compliance Support

  • Support post-offer processes including I-9 verification using E-Verify
  • Assist with background checks, drug screenings, and compliance programs
  • Help maintain employment forms and documentation on internal systems
  • Process employment verification requests per established guidelines

Training & Class Coordination

  • Monitor new hire classes during self-study and training sessions
  • Proctor exams to ensure compliance with testing protocols
  • Track attendance, course completion, and licensing results
  • Provide daily instruction and guidance to new hires on schedules and expectations
  • Coordinate classroom logistics and support instructor sessions
  • Communicate class progress and updates to managers

Administrative Support

  • Prepare reports, track data, and maintain HR records
  • Respond to employee and manager inquiries regarding HR processes
  • Support benefits administration and wellness programs as needed
  • Perform general administrative duties for the HR department

Required Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of experience in Human Resources, administrative support, or related field
  • Experience supporting HR programs, policies, or employee processes
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a structured, process-driven environment

Required Skills

  • HR program and process support (1–3 years)
  • Employee lifecycle processing (1–3 years)
  • Employee and manager support on policies and procedures (1–2 years)

Required Tools

  • Microsoft Outlook
  • Microsoft Excel
  • Microsoft Word

Daily Use of Technology

  • Track attendance, licensing results, and course completion in Excel
  • Communicate with managers and stakeholders via Outlook
  • Maintain documentation and reports using Word

Work Environment

  • Onsite role
  • Classroom/training environment supporting new hires
  • Requires active monitoring, coordination, and engagement with trainees
