Job Description:
Unicare provides dedicated, compassionate, and high-quality home health, hospice and non-medical care. We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Human Resources Assistant to assist with critical HR functions.
Job Summary:
This role will work closely with agency leadership to provide administrative and operational HR support in areas such onboarding, offboarding, payroll, benefits administration, and other HR-related tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate onboarding and offboarding of employees, ensuring all documentation is complete and compliant.
Respond to employee questions and provide general HR support as needed.
Support compliance with state and federal employment regulations, including wage and hour laws, leave administration, and required postings.
Assist with payroll and accurate payroll records in compliance with California labor laws.
Support Accounts Payable tasks.
Assist with employee benefits, respond to inquiries, and assist with annual open enrollment.
Perform other administrative duties as assigned.
