Human Resources Assistant/ Part Time / Days

The Human Resources Assistant supports the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources department and the Vice President of Human Resources. This position assists with administrative tasks, employee onboarding, records management, recruitment coordination, and ensures HR processes comply with healthcare regulations and hospital policies. Ensure confidentiality and secure handling of sensitive employee data. The Human Resources Assistant is an onsite position. This part time position is Monday - Friday 1:00p-5:00p.

Essential Functions

  • Provides front office functions for the Human Resources Department by answering phones, communicating messages, organizing meetings and assuming all other clerical duties.
  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resources files, records, and documentation, including personnel files, I-9 forms, and other documents.
  • Responds to internal and external HR-related inquiries or requests and provides assistance.
  • Performs administrative duties such as filing, data entry, preparing correspondence, and managing calendars for VP of Human Resources and Compliance.
  • Assists with benefits administration, including enrollment, changes, and answering employee questions.
  • May assist with on-boarding new employees. Create and prints badges, as needed.
  • Orders and maintains adequate stock of office supplies.
  • Prepare, prevent, protect and respond to support our culture of safety.
  • Works hours per week in accordance with offer letter or per attributes of position at transfer request. May be expected to work longer hours as necessary.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Education: High School Diploma or GED

License: None

Experience: One (1) year office setting

Certification: Must possess or be able to obtain designation as a Notary Public.

Preferred

Education: Associate’s degree

License: None

Experience:

  • One (1) year Human Resources
  • One (1) year working with senior management in hospital
  • One (1) year HRIS database

Certification: Certified Administrative Professional (CAP) offered by the International Association of Administrative Professionals (IAAP)
