Food Safety Policy

Adams Group is committed to producing and distributing high quality products through adherence to industry and regulatory standards. Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic Human Resources Business Partner to join our growing team and support our production and packaging operations across our Arbuckle and Woodland facilities. This role is essential to maintaining our people-first culture while supporting our ambitious growth objectives. The successful candidate will serve as a business partner to leadership, ensuring our workforce is engaged, developed, and aligned with our mission to nourish communities worldwide.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform tasks required to develop, administer, and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; employee relations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; and training and development for employees at all levels of the organization.
• Participate in the development of and/or create departmental Standard Operation Procedures
• Handle employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
• Attend and participate in employee disciplinary meetings, investigations, and terminations.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
• Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
• Monitor turnover and retention and conduct exit interviews.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:                

Education & Certification

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
• PHR (Professional in Human Resources) or SHRM-CP (Society for Human Resource Management Certified Professional) certification preferred

Experience

• Minimum 3 years of HR generalist experience in a production or manufacturing environment
• Proven experience in employee relations, benefits administration, and performance management
• Experience supporting multi-site operations preferred
• Background in food manufacturing or regulated industries highly desirable

Language & Communication Skills

• Fluency in both English and Spanish preferred (written and verbal)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to build trust and credibility with employees at all organizational levels
• Strong presentation and facilitation skills

Technical & Analytical Skills

• Proficiency in HRIS systems, Paycom preferred, and Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Knowledge of employment law and HR compliance requirements
• Experience with workers' compensation and safety programs preferred

• Willing to work in any of our operating locations (Arbuckle, Woodland, Sacramento)
• Able to work for prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds infrequently
