Job Summary

The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) is responsible for aligning business objectives with associates and management within the areas that they are assigned. Consults with line-management, legal, compensation and recruitment, and provides daily HR guidance. Acts as an employee champion and change agent. The role assesses and anticipates HR-related needs. Will communicate proactively with the HR department and business management to develop integrated solutions. Formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflects the business objectives of the organization. Maintains an effective level of business literacy, legal regulations, and compliance regarding company operations. Maintains knowledge of the mid-range plans, culture and competition.

Pay Range

Minimum $86,258 Midpoint $114,296 Maximum $142,334

Rate of pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, education, as well as position requirements.

Experience

* Required: Minimum two (2) years professional Human Resources experience. Analytical and goal oriented Demonstrable experience with HR metrics. Thorough knowledge of labor legislation. Full understanding of all HR functions and best practices.

* Preferred: Prefers two years healthcare experience. Previous experience as a HRBP.

Education

* Required: Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field.

* Preferred: Master’s Degree in related field.

Training

* Required: Skill consulting and coaching leadership. Knowledge of all Human Resources functions. Skilled with resolving conflicts. Ability to analyze HR data to provide valuable insights. Able to read; write and speak with professional quality; use computer and software programs necessary for the position, e.g., Word, Excel, Power Point, Access; operate/troubleshoot basic office equipment required for the position. Able to relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others; provide leadership; be assertive and consistent in enforcing policies; work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure; lead, supervise, teach, and collaborate; accept direction. Able to communicate effectively in English in person, in writing, and on the telephone; think critically; work independently; perform basic math and statistical functions; manage multiple assignments; compose written material; work well under pressure; problem solve; organize and prioritize workload; recall information with accuracy; pay close attention to detail.

Specialized Skills

* Required: Human Resources Information Systems Experience. Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Power Point, Word, Excel). Excellent people management skills. Analytical skills including statistical analysis, and financial modeling. Strong interpersonal skills. Must have attention to detail. Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize work, and be flexible with changing priorities.

* Preferred: Preferred knowledge of Workday HRIS system.

Licensure

* Required: None.

* Preferred: SHRM, PHR, or SPHR certification. California Driver’s License may be required based on assigned client groups.

Work Environments - Functional Demand:
