Role

The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) is responsible for providing direct HR support to manufacturing operations, ensuring alignment of HR initiatives with production goals, safety standards, and workforce efficiency. This role partners closely with manufacturing leadership to drive engagement, performance, compliance, and talent development within a fast-paced, production-driven environment.

 

The ideal candidate will have a strong background supporting manufacturing teams and exposure to API certification or other industry quality and compliance programs common within oil & gas manufacturing environments.

Essential Functions

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with manufacturing leadership to align HR initiatives with business goals and operational needs.
  • Manage the full employee life cycle — from hiring and onboarding through development, performance management, and separation — ensuring consistent and compliant HR practices.
  • Provide day-to-day HR support to leaders and employees, addressing questions, concerns, and employee relations matters in a timely and professional manner.
  • Support managers and employees through the performance evaluation process, facilitating feedback sessions and providing coaching to encourage continual improvement and development.
  • Serve as the main resource for employee inquiries related to health insurance, retirement plans, and leave of absence management. Assist with the annual health benefits renewal and employee enrollment process to ensure smooth administration and effective communication.
  • Support accurate timekeeping and attendance tracking and administer leave programs to maintain compliance and consistency.
  • Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including the development of job descriptions, posting positions, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, conducting initial phone screenings, and facilitating new hire onboarding activities.
  • Supervise the site receptionist to ensure high standards in front-desk operations, visitor management, and administrative support, maintaining alignment with company policies and procedures.
  • Champion initiatives that foster employee engagement and improve communication throughout the plant environment to boost morale and enhance retention.
  • Support compliance efforts related to OSHA, DOT, and API standards within the manufacturing environment, ensuring a safe and compliant workplace.
  • Maintain the accuracy and integrity of HR data by updating records in the HRIS system (Paycom) and generating reports to support informed decision-making.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance current HR and business processes and practices. Take initiative in recommending and implementing improvements to business leadership.
  • Stay informed about new and anticipated legislation, enforce adherence to relevant requirements, and advise management on necessary actions to maintain compliance.
  • Maintain the highest level of confidentiality.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Must be bilingual in English and Spanish, with strong verbal and written communication skills in both languages.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • HR certification is preferred (e.g., SHRM, PHR).
  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience supporting a facility subject to API certification, ISO standards, or other industry quality compliance preferred.
  • Working knowledge of federal, state, and local employment, wage, and salary laws and regulations, including, but not limited to, EEO, FLSA, FMLA, ADA, and OSHA

  • Flexibility - Must be adaptable to changes in the work environment and able to prioritize competing demands.
  • Dependability - Strong sense of personal accountability and situational awareness also required.
  • Able to operate all common office equipment, such as multi-line phone, calculator, cell phone, copier, fax, scanner, audio/visual equipment.
