WHEN YOU JOIN US YOU WILL BE;
- Managing daily employee inquiries, prepare official correspondence, and address questions concerning compensation, benefits, policies, and other employment-related matters.
- Administering employee benefits programs, including enrollment, changes, and terminations.
- Supporting the implementation of HR policies and ensure adherence through consistent interpretation and enforcement of established procedures.
- Coordinating the recruitment process for hourly positions, including interviewing and facilitating the hiring of qualified candidates; collaborate closely with departmental managers to assess required skills and competencies.
- Conducting or coordinate background checks, drug screenings, and employee eligibility verifications.
- Conducting thorough new employee orientations to facilitate a seamless onboarding process.
- Partnering effectively with Payroll, Benefits Team, and Managers/Supervisors to oversee leave of absence and return-to-work procedures, ensuring compliance and preparing necessary documentation.
- Actively contribute to and participate in Group HR projects as required.
- Assisting in organizing and executing engagement and wellness initiatives, recognition events and company social events and activities.
- Maintaining strict confidentiality of HRIS data and employee records
OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE;
- Bachelor’s degree in related area of study with focus on Human Resources Management
- 5+ years of progressive HR experience
- Minimum 1 year of hands-on payroll support experience
- CHRP or in progress in preferred
- Experience working in a manufacturing and/or union environment is preferred
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of local laws and regulations concerning employment standards, human rights, and health and safety.
- Proven experience in leading HR projects and initiatives.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems (preferably Workday) and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication, coaching and influencing abilities.
