Position Summary
The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) is responsible for the overall administration and coordination of the human resource function in support of the company's Human Resources Center of Excellence. This role encompasses all aspects of standard human resource disciplines, including, but not limited to, total rewards, employee relations, training and development, talent acquisition, HRIS, employee engagement, and compliance with state and federal regulations and the Joint Commission.
Providing excellent customer service to all employees is essential for the success of this role.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
The HRBP is a key member of the HR shared services team with specific responsibilities and duties as listed below:
Total Rewards: provides support related to all company benefits.
- Employee Relations: Assist with questions and requests by either assigning the issues to the appropriate HR team member or taking ownership to manage the process of responding to employee and/or manager inquiries, disciplinary action, oversight of conflict resolution, and employee grievances.
- When assigned, the HRBP will act as a resource to employees and management policies, benefit programs, and employment-related policies and procedures.
- Training and Development: When requested by the Director of Learning and Development, HRBP will assist with our L&D programs, including the Healthicity training portal, tuition reimbursement program, employee surveys, and performance management.
- Talent Acquisition: Supports the company's onboarding process through new employee orientation, ensuring compliance with hiring practices at the company, state, and federal levels.
- Human Resources Information Systems: Utilizes the PBH HRIS system ADP Workforce Now, to manage employee data and process changes efficiently.
- Compliance: Ensures compliance with state, federal, FLSA, and Joint Commission standards, including employee file maintenance.
- Employee Engagement: Participates in the development of programs and initiatives to keep employees motivated, satisfied, and committed to the organization.
- Partners with the SVP of Human Resources and the Regional Director of Human Resources to assist with the management, review, and design of corporate-wide policies. Collaborate with HR team members to provide support and redundancy when needed.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong knowledge of federal and state employment regulations; ability to analyze regulations and apply them to the organization.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
- Ability to demonstrate critical thinking, problem-solving, and organizational time management with a strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Utilizes the time management skills necessary to perform duties in a remote work environment.
- Proficient knowledge of computer applications, including MS Office 365, and HRIS systems, is required.
- Knowledge of office administration, project management, and employment regulation concepts required.
Job Qualifications and Requirements
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent, required
- Bachelor’s or some college or technical school coursework, preferably in Human Resources, preferred.
- HR Certification from HRCI or SHRM is a plus.
Experience:
- 3 to 5+ years of human resources experience required.
- Working within a shared services environment is preferred.
- Experience working within the ADP Workforce Now platform preferred.
- Experience working in healthcare or other state-regulated/accredited industry preferred.
