Perricone Farms is seeking a Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) for our Vero Beach, Florida manufacturing facility.  This is a hands-on role offering long-term, stable employment and a competitive benefits package, including health, vision, dental, life insurance, and a 401(k) plan.

The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) will oversee daily HR functions for facility employees. This role plays a key part in ensuring compliance with federal and Florida employment laws, supporting leaders, and driving employee engagement and performance.

The HR Business Partner provides guidance on employee relations, talent acquisition, wage & hour compliance, attendance, leaves of absence, safety, and training within the Florida regulatory environment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Talent Acquisition & Onboarding

  • Lead full-cycle recruitment for hourly production, sanitation, maintenance, and warehouse roles, as well as select salaried positions
  • Ensure compliance with applicable federal and Florida hiring requirements (e.g., background checks, I-9 compliance, E-Verify as applicable)
  • Execute structured onboarding including OSHA safety orientation, GMP training, harassment prevention training, and facility policies

 

Employee Relations & Culture

  • Provide guidance to leaders on consistent disciplinary practices and documentation aligned with federal and Florida law
  • Conduct and document employee investigations, ensuring neutrality, consistency, and compliance
  • Address employee concerns, mediate conflicts, and maintain a positive work environment
  • Drive engagement initiatives and employee feedback programs

 

Wage & Hour Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to federal and Florida wage & hour laws, including:
    • Minimum wage compliance (Florida-specific rates)
    • Overtime compliance under the FLSA
    • Accurate timekeeping and payroll practices
    • Off-the-clock work prevention
    • Final pay practices in accordance with company policy and applicable law
  • Partner with Payroll to ensure accurate and timely processing

 

Leave of Absence Management

  • Administer and coordinate leave programs in compliance with federal and Florida requirements, including:
    • FMLA and other applicable federal leave laws
    • ADA accommodations and interactive process
    • Workers’ compensation leave coordination
    • Military leave (USERRA), jury duty, and other statutory leaves
    • Company-provided leave policies and disability programs
  • Maintain accurate documentation, required notices, and return-to-work processes

 

Safety, Compliance & HR Policies

  • Support compliance with OSHA standards and company safety programs
  • Partner with plant leadership to support training, audits, safety observations, and corrective actions
  • Maintain employee files, policies, SOPs, and HR processes aligned with federal and Florida requirements
  • Oversee required trainings (harassment prevention, safety programs, etc.)

 

Performance Management, Coaching & Development

  • Guide leaders through performance management processes, including coaching, corrective action, and terminations
  • Support performance reviews and development planning
  • Train supervisors on employment law fundamentals (wage & hour, discipline, accommodations, etc.)

 

HR Reporting & Metrics

  • Track and report turnover, hiring trends, attendance, training compliance, and leave utilization
  • Provide KPI reporting and data-driven insights to site and HR leadership
  • Maintain HRIS accuracy and support audits

 



Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)

Preferred

  • Experience in food & beverage manufacturing or CPG
  • Bilingual English/Spanish
  • Experience in a private-equity-backed or high-growth company
  • PHR, SHRM-CP, or similar certification

 

Experience Requirements

  • 5+ years of HR generalist or HR Business Partner experience supporting manufacturing, food production, or distribution
  • Strong understanding of federal and Florida employment laws, including OSHA, FMLA, ADA, FLSA, wage & hour compliance, and reasonable accommodation requirements
  • Experience supporting a diverse hourly workforce across multiple shifts
  • Ability to work on-site with regular floor presence
