Position Summary:

Under general supervision LAFCU's Human Resources Coordinator is responsible for day-to-day operations duties relating to the support of Human Resources function. Duties include, but are not limited to, recruiting, maintaining employee records, handling employee inquiries, ensuring compliance with employment law and acting as the backup to the Human Resources Specialist. This role is a full-time, non-exempt, non-management position and reports directly to the Human Resources Manager in the Human Resources Department.

Job Summary:

  • Provide quality HR support and services to all management and staff.
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality in handling all HR related information.
  • Manage the full scope of the recruiting process for assigned departments, including but not limited to the preemployment and onboarding process for direct hires.
  • Maintain applicant tracking system (ATS) and perform administrator function including but not limited to updating the online application template and archiving candidate resumes in accordance with applicable retention requirements.
  • Work directly with employment agencies for the pre-employment and onboarding process for temporary hires. 
  • Create, track and send out review packets to management in a timely manner. 
  • Prepare new hire personnel folders with appropriate documentation and process all forms.  
  • Responsible for maintaining personnel records, including but not limited to new employees, promotions, transfers, overtime hours, terminations and resignations.
  • Responsible for the support and tracking of the Employee Recognition Program. Including but not limited to, ensuring that all employees who are eligible for an award are recognized and making sure all certificates and gifts are in supply and distributed.

Qualifications & Opportunities:

  • High School or equivalent, Related AA preferred.           
  •  One to two years of work experience in Human Resources or a related field.
  • Excellent communication skills; sound judgment, attention to detail and strong organization skills.
  • Requires 6+ hours of sitting a day with the possibility of standing 1-2 hours per day and walking 1-2 hours per day. Must have fine dexterity and the ability to use a computer keyboard for  extended timeframes. Requires ability to use telephone system for an extended period.  Visual skills for computer and hearing skills for phone use are necessary. Also requires repetitive use of  hands.

Salary:

  • The minimum and maximum base salary range for this position is $25.61 to $37.43 in California.     
  • The target starting base hourly rate is between $25.61 to $31.52.
  • This compensation and benefits information is based on Los Angeles Federal Credit Union's good faith estimate as of the date of publication and may be modified in the future.
  • The starting base salary within the range will depend on a variety of factors that may include relevant prior experience and/or education, or skills and expertise.
