DescriptionJob Summary:
The Human Resources Coordinator performs a variety of confidential, and administrative tasks to support the overall operations of the Human Resources Department at Cousins Properties (“Cousins”). This role includes the coordination and tracking of hiring activities, assistance with onboarding processes, and preparation of essential HR documentation.
This individual must have strong attention to detail, organization and project coordination skills and have the ability to multi-task priorities and assignments. Must be able to work independently, have strong communication and relationship building skills.
This is an on-site position at our Corporate office in Buckhead, from Monday through Friday. This is not a hybrid position. This is an exempt position.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinates with internal hiring managers or external recruiting agencies to ensure interviews are scheduled
- Assists with conducting preliminary interviews
- Assists with posting jobs through the HR system
- Assists with screening resumes
- Maintains tracking list of all candidates and follows up with hiring managers and external recruiting agencies
- Coordinates with Marketing and IT to ensure new hires’ professional headshots are posted
- Serves as a backup to the HR Generalist who manages the pre-employment process (drug screen, and background check) and follows up to ensure all is completed in a timely manner
- Assists the HR department to fill Company positions quickly and accurately
- Coordinates meetings, events, and activities as directed by the HR VP
- Responds to internal and external HR related inquiries or requests as assigned
- Assists with New Hire Orientation scheduling. (Sends out email to new hire informing them of their schedule and what to bring on their first day. Schedules P2P training, if necessary.)
- Assists with Open Enrollment travel and scheduling. (Coordinates OE travel and meeting schedule. Makes sure swag has been ordered, shipped and received. Sends out Open Enrollment calendar invites to each office.
- Monitors HR email inbox and responds to employee inquiries
- Checks HR mail
- Posts Birthdays and Anniversary for each month on SharePoint
- Orders service awards based on seniority dates; ships service awards to various markets
- Replenishes new hire backpacks as needed
- Schedules webinars and yearly meetings. (Medicare, Principal, USI and GoPivot)
- Performs other related duties as assigned

QualificationsRequired or Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- A bachelors’ degree is strongly preferred
- At least one year of prior HR experience required
- Prior experience in direct sourcing for hourly and salaried positions is preferred
- Prior HRIS experience strongly preferred
- Strong working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint in particular) required
- Must have strong attention to detail, organization and project coordination skills and the ability to multi-task priorities
- Must be able to handle confidential and sensitive information in a discreet manner
- Must possess strong interpersonal skills and ability to work and communicate effectively with all levels of employees, customers and vendors of Cousins.
- Good time management skill required
