Position Summary
Under general supervision, oversees the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources Department. This position is responsible for the implementation and coordination of the District’s hiring processes and policies for certificated positions. Performs professional, technical and analytical human resources duties in recruitment & selection, classification & compensation, program compliance, records management and special projects.
Job Responsibilities
Essential Functions: __ Essential functions, as defined under the Americans with Disabilities Act, may include any of the following representative duties, knowledge, and skills. Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Supports principals and school leaders with meeting staffing needs and supporting district recruiting efforts. Manages certificated staff recruiting and oversees HR Technician in managing classified staffing.
- Oversees the accuracy of human resources databases and websites to ensure accurate data input.
- Consults with staff and managers to analyze, facilitate and resolve HR issues; interprets policies and advises employees and supervisors regarding HR issues, policies and procedures.
- Responds to requests for information and assistance from employees, management, outside agencies, and the public.
- In conjunction with the HR Director, plans and coordinates the recruitment and selection process; monitors hiring process to assure adherence to HR policies.
- Oversees day to day work of HR Technician and DO Receptionist/HR Clerk.
- Monitors documents and policies for compliance with federal, state, and district policies and practices; oversees the maintenance of HR records and confidential employee personnel files; assures compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Assists the HR Director in policy administration including researching and interpreting regulations. Performs research and analysis on special HR projects.
- Assists with developing and conducting new hire orientation meetings.

Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, business or public administration preferred. Three (3) years Human Resources administration experience, including one year of recruiting/staffing experience, preferably in a K-12 setting.
Licenses, Certifications, and Equipment: Valid State of Arizona driver’s license.
