Summary: 

This role is onsite 5 days a week and the primary function of this role will be to provide a wide range of administrative support within the HR department with an emphasis on providing friendly and consistent customer service to all levels of employees.  The role requires a high level of discretion and the ability to handle and safeguard sensitive and highly confidential information and the ability to work indepently with limited supervision.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

    Daily attendance tracking and reporting

    Reconciling and processing hourly payroll, including processing weekly adjustments 

    Issuing access badges

    Issuing safety shoe vouchers

    Physical and electronic employee file maintenance 

    New employee onboarding including orientation

    Assist with taking uniform orders, also tracking and delivering when necessary

    Assist with the administration of STD and PFML claims

    Manage personal leaves

    Assist with Benefits Administration including Open Enrollment

    Responsible for Employee Engagement including oversight of the Employee of the Month program, planning summer outing, holiday parties or events and other engagement activities 

    Other HR related duties as assigned

Knowledge and Skill Requirements: 

All job offers are based on the conditions that the candidate can provide proof of authorization to work legally in the United States and pass a urinalysis screening, which is part of the post-offer health assessment. Candidate must be at least 18 years of age.

Education: High School Diploma or GED required. Associate's degree or some college preferred.

Experience: Administrative experience preferred. Experience working in a Human Resources Department preferred.

Computer Skills: Computer literacy including comfort using Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and UKG (Ultimate Kronos Group) for time reconciliation, reporting and payroll processing.  Experience with an HRIS system (i.e. ADP) is preferred. 

Communication Skills: The ideal person for the role will be bilingual, fluent in English and in Spanish.  Requires good written and oral communication skills, organizational skills, ability to work independently, and must be results oriented. Communicates across shifts with all levels of employees as well as management personnel.   

Special Skills: Ability to handle and protect confidential information. 

Supervisory: The Human Resources Coordinator has no direct reports.

Travel: No travel required.  Ideal candidate should establish a routine of regularly walking the production floor for a show of presence and to limit employees’ time away from production.  Frequency to be discussed.
