Description

Overview of Position: The Human Resources Coordinator is responsible for providing support on a day-to-day basis to the HR team, ensuring the overall success of the HR team and Windham Mountain Club team members. The HR Administrator supports the Director of HR, Assistant HR Manager and Staff Housing Assistant in providing HR support to managers and staff within the organization. This position requires extreme confidentiality and professionalism.


Job Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Human Resources
  • Greet team members, applicants and visitors to the Fox Den offices.
  • Manage phone and email communications, providing prompt and professional responses to inquiries, redirecting calls as necessary.
  • Represent the HR team in a professional manner at all times, providing information and guidance to team members as needed.
  • Manage training and orientation schedules and assist with execution of training and orientation events.
  • Manage applicant interview schedules as needed.
  • Ensure Workers’ Compensation claims are reported promptly and notices are completed timely.
  • Ensure the WMC permitted driver list is updated and accurate when new team members join or when they leave.
  • Assist with the planning, preparation, and execution of employee events.
  • Participate in high school and community recruiting and career fair events.
  • Maintain a clean and professional appearance, adhering to dress code at all times.
  • Other administrative duties as required
  • Be reliable and punctual and able to work weekends and holidays as needed.
  • Technology
  • Serve as the expert user with the HRIS system to assist team members with managing their self-service accounts and trouble-shooting access issues.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential team member records in the Paylocity HR System.
  • Run regular reports as needed.
  • Uniforms
  • Maintain strong familiarity with all department uniforms.
  • Responsible for managing the ordering, inventory and maintenance of team member uniforms
  • Housing
  • Ensure staff housing agreement files are complete and completion of agreements executed timely.
  • Maintain records on all aspects of housing activity on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis. Submit required reports on at least a monthly basis
Requirements

Job Qualifications:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact positively with team members, their family and guests.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with HR systems preferred.
  • Professional demeanor with a welcoming and personable attitude.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Must be willing to learn and adapt to change in a dynamic environment.
  • 2+ years’ experience in an administrative support role required; in HR strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with New York State and Federal labor laws and issues preferred.
  • Valid drivers license and no driving violations on record.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and maneuver up to 30 pounds.
  • Ability to sit, stand and walk for up to 8 hours.
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Ability to stand and walk on uneven terrain, including snow and ice covered surfaces.
  • Ability to climb stairs and ladders.
  • Ability to push, pull, bend, stoop, kneel, and reach regularly.
  • Ability to perform fine motor skills congruent with operating computers and smart phones.


Work Schedule and Conditions: We are in the business of providing exceptional experiences for our team members, members and guests. Traditionally our busy periods are during weekends and holiday periods which you will be expected to work. You can also expect to be asked to work extra hours or days on occasion, especially during the holiday periods. 


This position requires that you work all weekends and holidays during the season beginning Thanksgiving weekend and ending the final weekend in March; hours fluctuate based on need.

$23 - $28/hr
