The Boys and Girls Club of Central Orange Coast is hiring a Part-Time Human Resources Coordinator to provide support to the Executive team, Sr. Director of Human Resources, Club Leadership team, and Staff. This would include serving as a point of contact for employees for Human Resources related matters.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Support Executives, Sr. Director of Human Resources, Club Leadership, and Staff on Human Resources matters.
· Recruits, Screens & Onboards new employees which includes assisting with new hire orientation, ensure employment documentation and requirements are complete
· Perform general office tasks (distribute mail, replenish office supplies, maintain office rotation schedule)
· Establishes and maintains calendar of events and keeps executive informed of commitments including HR audit, recruiting events, and milestones
· Assist in preparation for large meetings/trainings including conference room set up, and maintain a schedule for shared conference areas
· Manages employee related incentive programs including the referral bonus program, scholarship program and the distribution of other gifts throughout the year
· Maintains up to date personnel files, organizational chart, departmental transfers, unemployment claims, etc.
· Help organize office activities
· Manage, track, & report key metrics on a regular basis related to headcount changes, compliance trainings (safety, sexual harassment, professional licenses, etc.)
· Serve as a point of contact for staff, for matters related but not limited to, payroll, benefits, leaves, personnel files, and employee questions
· Keep record of workers compensation policy, renewals, claims, and legal updates that may come through
· Develop and maintain effective interpersonal relationships with employees
· Maintain a working knowledge of current California employment laws
· Assist with planning and implementation of trainings, staff events, and employee moral
· Attend career fairs for recruiting purposes
· Assists with Employee Recognition Programs and incentives
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
· 1 year of experience as a Human Resources coordinator or similar role, Computer skills in Microsoft Office; working knowledge of ADP or other PEO software systems

Performance Objectives – Deliverables
1) Adopting the Culture and acclimating to BGC Central OC: Participate in on-the-job training with the Sr. Director of Human Resources and other key stakeholders.
2) Within 45 days, Human Resources Coordinator will have a comprehensive understanding of our organizational culture and best HR practices we use at BGC.
