Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dynamic HR Coordinator to join our on-site team in San Diego. This full-time role calls for an individual with strong communication skills, experience supporting HR functions, and the ability to manage digital tools and platforms to enhance employee engagement and internal communications. 

Responsibilities:

  • Administer offer letters and pre-hire screenings, schedule interviews, and conduct new hire onboarding. 
  • Add, edit, and monitor job postings and share with hiring managers. 
  • Assist with configuring and implementing HR processes and procedures within ADP. 
  • Oversee timekeeping in ADP (i.e. leave, overtime) and account for / approve timecards. 
  • Assist the operations and finance team with preparing payroll as needed. 
  • Help employees navigate HR policies, answering inquiries, and ensuring compliance with company guidelines.
  • Maintain personnel records, track employee data, and ensure compliance with employment regulations.
  • Support with employee matters including leave of absence/maternity leaves, benefits, policies, wage and hour questions. 
  • Administer employee benefits, working closely with benefits broker.
  • Coordinate training sessions and support performance management initiatives.
  • Analyze workforce data to improve hiring and retention strategies.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong verbal and written communication is crucial for interacting with employees, management, and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to handle multiple HR tasks, such as recruitment, payroll, and employee records, requires excellent organization.
  • Professionally handle employee concerns and disputes.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field is typically required.
  • SHRM-CP or PHR preferred.
  • 1-3 years of experience in HR-related tasks, such as recruitment, payroll processing, and employee relations.
  • Experience with ADP Workforce is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Working at a desk for extended periods.
  • Frequent typing and screen interaction.
  • Moving between departments or attending meetings.
  • Engaging in discussions, presentations, and negotiations.
  • Handling office materials, documents, or equipment (typically under 10 lbs).
  • Ability to travel.
