The American Diabetes Association (ADA) is seeking a Temporary Human Resources Coordinator to join our Human Resources (HR) team. This role will provide administrative and operational HR support, with a primary focus on assisting our Camps team during a high-volume hiring period, as well as supporting other HR-related functions as needed. This is a temporary, 6-month position, working remotely up to 37.5 hours per week. This position is not benefits eligible.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare and process offer letters
  • Coordinate and track background checks
  • Process I-9 employment eligibility verifications
  • Enter and maintain employee data in HR systems
  • Partner closely with the ADA Camps team to support seasonal hiring needs
  • Provide general administrative and operational support to the HR team     

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field and/or equivalent experience preferred
  • Minimum of two years of related HR experience
  • Working knowledge of Human Resources resources principles, practices, and procedures
  • Experience with background checks and I-9 processing strongly preferred
  • Strong customer service orientation and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Highly organized self-starter who works well independently and collaboratively
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or similar tools
  • Strong prioritization, coordination, and follow-through skills
