Description
The Human Resources Generalist supports day-to-day HR operations across multiple functional areas including employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, performance management, compliance, and HR program execution. This role serves as a trusted resource for employees and managers, ensuring alignment with company policies, employment laws, and organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a primary point of contact for employee questions related to HR policies, procedures, and practices
- Support managers with employee relations matters, investigations, and performance management
- Assist with conflict resolution and corrective action processes
- Promote a positive, inclusive, and compliant workplace culture
- Support full-cycle recruitment efforts, including job postings, candidate screening, interviews, and offer coordination
- Coordinate new hire onboarding, orientation, and completion of required documentation
- Partner with hiring managers to ensure timely and effective hiring processes
- Assist employees with benefits enrollment, changes, and general inquiries
- Support annual open enrollment activities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in HRIS systems
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies
- Support audits, reporting, and policy updates as needed
- Assist with performance review cycles, documentation, and follow-up
- Support learning and development initiatives
- Help implement employee engagement and retention strategies
- Participate in HR initiatives, programs, and continuous improvement projects
- Support policy development and employee communications
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 2–5 years of progressive HR experience
- Working knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
- Experience with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP, or similar) preferred
- Experience working in a multi-site and/or fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with payroll and benefits systems
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills
- High level of discretion, integrity, and professionalism
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
- Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with cross-functional teams
