Human Resources Generalist

The Carlstar Division of Titan International is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to join our team onsite in Clinton, TN.  This role reports to the onsite Director of HR Operations and will be responsible for providing first-level HR support to the manufacturing plant, including employee relations, talent acquisition, policy and procedure interpretation, and new hire onboarding to the facility staff.   The successful candidate will be employee-focused, educated in HR best practices, have an appetite for growth within their professional career, and have excellent communication and organizational skills.  

Essential Responsibilities:  

  • Responsible for hourly talent acquisition practices, including sourcing candidates, reviewing resumes, completing the interview process, and onboarding new employees.  

  • Coaches and counsels employees by addressing concerns, mediating conflicts, and fostering a positive work environment. 

  • Assists employees with benefit education and enrollment, including onboarding and annual open enrollment processes. 

  • Provides HR policy and procedure interpretation as needed. 

  • Assists with change management initiatives as needed. 

  • Assists with ensuring the company adheres to all federal, state, and local laws. 

  • Assists with training initiatives throughout the plant, including organizing and conducting training sessions as needed in conjunction with Training Manager.

 

Knowledge and Skill Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field or equivalent experience. 

  • 2+ Years in Human Resources administration preferred. 

  • PHR Certification preferred. 

  • Demonstrated advanced interpersonal and coaching skills, including conflict resolution and change management. 

  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office and web-based HRIS systems.  Paycom experience is strongly preferred. 

  • Strong organizational and attention to detail skills required, including the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and work independently. 

  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills, as well as the mathematical skills required.
