PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:
As the Human Resources Generalist, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the daily operations of the HR department while contributing to a positive, compliant, and inclusive workplace. This role spans the full employee life cycle with responsibilities including but not limited to recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, learning and development, HR compliance, and payroll support.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Employee Relations
- Provide guidance on policy interpretation and disciplinary actions, triaging/escalating complex matters appropriately.
- Serve as a point of contact for employee concerns.
- Assist with investigations and ensure consistent policy application.
- Foster positive employee relations and contribute to the development of an inclusive, supportive, and engaging work environment.
Performance Management
- Assist with the annual performance review process.
- Coach and support the managers to identify and address performance challenges properly.
Benefits Administration
- Respond to benefits-related employee inquiries accurately and timely.
- Manage benefits billing and identify trends.
- Support employee communication and preparation during Open Enrollment.
- Support 401(k) employee training, audit, and communications.
HR Reporting & Compliance
- Handle external EEO reporting timely and accurately.
- Assist with ACA compliance and resolve identified issues.
Projects & Cross-functional Collaboration
- Collaborate across teams to communicate and implement HR initiatives.
- Provide support to HR Director, Senior HR Manager, and other team members as needed.
- Perform other duties and assignments as needed.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong client-service mindset, with a clear, approachable, and friendly communication approach in both verbal and written.
- Strong analytical skills, proven ability to execute processes, and a flexible approach to problem-solving.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Solid knowledge of federal, state, and local labor laws and regulatory compliance required.
- Bilingual Chinese preferred.
EDUCATION AND/OR TRAINING:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- 3+ years of relevant experience in Human Resources, preferably in the logistics industry or in the distribution center environment.
- Prior Experience with benefits administration, employee relations, and performance management required.
- 2+ years of experience using HRIS systems, preferably with Workday.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite required.
- SHRM-CP or PHR certification preferred.

- Office and warehouse environment; this is an on-site position.
- Occasional periods of standing or sitting for extended periods of time
- May exposure to hot/cold weather and loud noises in a warehouse environment. Must wear appropriate PPE when in the warehouse.

- Cross-state travel up to 10% of the time.
