Position Summary
The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for supporting daily HR operations in areas including employee relations, performance management, compliance, benefits administration, recruitment, onboarding, and HR policy implementation. This role serves as a key point of contact for employees and management, ensuring the organization’s HR practices align with company values and legal requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer day-to-day human resource activities, including maintaining employee records, processing payroll changes, and managing HR databases.
- Serve as a point of contact for employee questions on HR policies, benefits, and workplace issues.
- Support employee relations initiatives, including conflict resolution, disciplinary procedures, and investigations.
- Assist in the administration of employee benefits programs, such as health insurance, retirement plans, leave management and reward and recognition programs.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and maintain up-to-date knowledge of HR best practices.
- Coordinate and conduct employee training sessions on HR topics, such as workplace safety, anti-harassment, and performance management. Conduct new hire orientation sessions.
- Support the performance management process, including tracking evaluations and assisting managers with performance improvement plans.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of HR processes and participate in HR projects as assigned.
- Assist in recruitment and onboarding efforts as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- 1-2 years of experience in a human resources role, preferably in a generalist capacity.
- Knowledge of HR principles, practices, and employment laws.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Certification such as PHR, SHRM-CP, or equivalent is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to carry and lift items weighing up to 25 pounds.
- Must be able to speak clearly in group settings.
- This position will require sitting for long periods of time, walking, standing, bending, as well as using fine motor skills, such as finger dexterity.
- Must be willing to travel occasionally to Data Center sites
